Car Crazy Reunion at the BRI

Family Weekend Postponed

ALERT: In the interest of safety, Ferrum College’s Family Weekend has been postponed until September 24 and 25th. Next week’s rescheduled event will include the same features and activities (including a home football game against Shenandoah, a bevy of other athletic games, art exhibits and more) with adjusted schedules. Family Weekend will now also include additional features including a racer’s reunion at the Blue Ridge Institute and Museum held in conjunction with the Car Crazy: Racing and Rodding in Southwest Virginia exhibit, celebrating 100 years of Virginia racing history.
Families who have prepaid will have their registration carried over. If you have prepaid and cannot attend this rescheduled date please contact the Alumni and Family Services office for a full refund.

FERRUM COLLEGE WELCOMES FAMILIES TO CAMPUS
FOR SPECIAL WEEKEND

     Ferrum College will be welcoming families on campus September 17-19 24-25, for its annual Family Weekend. A number of activities will allow parents to experience the College environment as their child does.

      The weekend’s highlights include a luncheon with the Ferrum Family, the BRI’s Car Crazy exhibit, an art showing, several athletic events, a post football game reception, and much more!

      Saturday’s activities will also feature presentations by faculty from all of our academic divisions. Parents will be able to learn a little more about the Civil War, take a psychological journey, go wild over Harry Potter, brush up on new trends in business, or find your inner chemist. Presentations given by: Dr. Lana Whited, Professor of English; Dr. Kevin Reilly, Assistant Professor of Psychology; Dr. Jason Powell, Assistant Professor of Chemistry; Dr. Faye Angel, Associate Professor of Business; and Dr.Michael Trochim, Professor of History.
