There will be a lunch for early arrivals ($5.00 per person), Fifty Year Club Meeting, Fifty Year Club Celebration Reception, Fifty Year Club Celebration Dinner, the class of 1954 will be recognized, but all classes are invited to attend ($10.00 per person), and Fifty Year Club Post Dinner Special.

Saturday, May 15, various activities are planned throughout the day. Begin the morning with a campus stroll, followed by a Country Breakfast Buffet ($6.00 per person). Dr. Jennifer Braaten will give a campus update, preceding the Alumni Director’s Meeting, Class Photos, visit the President’s home, All Alumni Luncheon ($10.00 per person), Jack Tale Players, Car Crazy Exhibit at the Blue Ridge Institute, Virginia Dare Cruise ($25.00 per person), and Dinner and Dance ($12.00 per person).       "Alumni Weekend is packed full of fun and excitement. We have something for everyone from a VA Dare Cruise to a dance and dance with Sunset Drive," said Tracy Holley, Assistant Director of Alumni and Family Services.

This year’s Alumni Weekend will be especially exciting as Ferrum prepares the most extensive renovations in nearly fifty years of the college’s history. Braaten recently announced Ferrum’s plans to undertake a set of major facility improvements due to be completed in 2006. These ambitious construction projects will result in new and improved facilities across campus in the first such comprehensive enhancement of multiple areas of campus since the 1960’s. Roberts and Beckham Halls, two buildings nearly as old as Ferrum itself and favorites of older alumni will have their distinctive classic façade’s preserved while receiving state-of-the-art upgrades inside.
