Ferrum College is presenting Talking With , written by Jane Martin, February 19-21, 2004, 7:30 pm at the Sale Theater. Admission is $5.00 for adults, $2.50 for children, and free for Ferrum College faculty, staff, and students. This presentation will replace the previously announced “Anne Frank and Me” scheduled for the same dates. Talking With is a comedy drama that came out of the women's movement in the mid 80's. The play follows the dreams of eleven American women as each reveals an eternal truth that defines their lives. The play consists of monologues from a variety of women covering events that have affected them profoundly. The women are old and young, hopeful and dispirited, spunky and mild; however, they are never boring. In Talking With , each woman who takes the stage lays open her soul to tell large stories or smaller tales that capture a moment in a day. Talking With is directed by Rex Stephenson and features Ashley White, a junior from Halifax, Va.; Tiffany Tucker, a junior from South Hill, Va.; Casey Vassar, a junior from Richmond, Va.; Amy Cox, a sophomore from Springfield, Va.; Melody Kranz, a senior from Buchanan, Va.; and Logann Gavey, a junior from Albany, Ca.
