FITZPATRICK ACCEPTS POSITION AT BLUE RIDGE PUBLIC TELEVISION

     Beverly Fitzpatrick has resigned as Ferrum College’s Vice President of Institutional Advancement effective as of April 16. Fitzpatrick will become Executive Vice President and Assistant General Manager of Blue Ridge Public Television at that time.

     Fitzpatrick has served Ferrum College as a Vice President since 1999. He was a member of the Board of Trustees for eight years during which time he was also a member of the Executive Committee and Chairman of the Academic Affairs Committee. Fitzpatrick was a student at Ferrum from 1965 to 1967.

     “Ferrum is Virginia’s hidden jewel of private higher education. Ferrum mines human talent, shapes and molds it and sends it into the world to serve others,” Fitzpatrick said.

     “Bev has been a warm and caring presence at Ferrum for the last five years, but I am happy to rejoice with Bev and his family over this new opportunity,” said Dr. Jennifer Braaten, Ferrum College President.
