To pump up fans and scholars alike for the release of Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix, Dr. Lana A. Whited will be participating in a Harry Potter panel at Barnes and Noble in Christiansburg on June 20 at 9 p.m. Whited will also be signing copies of her book, The Ivory Tower and Harry Potter: Perspective on a Literary Phenomenon. |

“The Ivory Tower and Harry Potter will be indispensable to those interested in the larger literary and sociological issues raised in and around these books,” said Misprint magazine. Whited, a professor of English at Ferrum College, is a Potter resource at many academic conferences.
