Ferrum College students will have their artwork displayed in the E. Taylor Greer Gallery in Stanley Library from April 8 – 27. The opening reception will be held on April 8, from 3:30-5:30 p.m. in the Gallery.

Students who were enrolled in studio art classes during the 2002-2003 academic year will be submitting their works for display. The classes represented will be painting, drawing, 3-D design, black and white photography, color photography, computer graphics, and ceramics.

“I’m really looking forward to this show because there will be a variety of works on display,” said Bev Thorton, adjunct associate professor of art.
Moneta art educator Betty Tisinger will jury the show, awarding first, second, and honorable mention ribbons prior to the opening reception. During the reception, those who attend will be encouraged to select their favorite piece in the Gallery. The work with the most nominations will receive the People’s Choice Award.

The reception is open and free to the public. The Gallery can be viewed during regular library hours and online at Ferrum.edu/ArtGallery. For more information, contact Ed Gloria at (540) 365-4518.
