Ferrum College students will present Greater Tuna in the Sale Theater, Schoolfield Hall, November 12-15, 2003, at 7:30 p.m. Jaston Williams, Joe Sears, and Ed Howard wrote Greater Tuna . It is an off-Broadway hit intentionally written for two actors, who play the twenty roles in the third smallest town in Texas. Greater Tuna was chosen for its entertainment value. “It is a farce comedy; it pokes fun at racism and bigotry. It is a farce with a message, which you don't get very often,” said Wayne Bowman, Professor of Theater. The cost is adults $5.00; students and children $3.00; Ferrum College students, faculty, and staff with identification-free. Greater Tuna contains adult language and themes. The twenty roles are divided among ten college students: Ahmed E.L. Bush, a sophomore from Springfield, Va.; Brook Gill, a junior from Glade Hill, Va.; Crystal Loefflor, a sophomore from Rock Hall, Md.; Andrea Monroe, a junior from Altavista, Va.; Wilson Paine, a freshman from Maryville, Tn.; Lacey Rollins, a freshman from Midlothian, Va.; Tiffany Tucker, a junior from South Hill, Virginia; Ashley White, a junior from Salem, Va.; Sarah Wingfield, a senior from Vinton, Va.; and Sylvia Woodyard, a senior from Swords Creek, Va.. Wayne Bowman is the director of Greater Tuna . Assistant to the director is Marie St. Clair. Ferrum College is a four-year, private, co-educational, liberal arts college affiliated with the United Methodist Church. Ferrum offers a choice of nationally recognized bachelor’s degree programs at a cost well below the national average for private colleges. For more information on Ferrum, visit www.ferrum.edu. # # #
