Students enrolled in a studio class this semester at Ferrum College will be entered into the 2003 Juried Student Show, exhibiting November 13 through December 5, in the E. Taylor Greer Gallery, Stanley Library.

Each studio class student must enter a minimum of two art projects and a maximum of three.   There will be entries from drawing, painting, black and white photography, clay, two-dimensional design, jewelry, printmaking, and computer art and graphics.   The judge, artist Brian Hart ‘86, will award 18 ribbons: six blue ribbons of excellence, six red ribbons of merit, and six yellow ribbons of honorable mention.

A reception will be held November 13, 3:30 p.m. until 5 p.m.   The viewers will be given a chance to vote for their favorite work of art.   Near the end of the reception, the piece with the most votes will be awarded the People's Choice Award.   The art exhibit is free to the public and is open during Stanley Library hours.

“This is the show that students look forward to more than any other art show.   They love it.   Attendance and interest is high,” Rachel Denham, Associate Professor of Art.
