On Saturday, November 8, 2003, Ferrum College will host a public conference, called "School Leadership in the 21 st Century," that is open to any person interested in school leadership as a volunteer or vocation. The presentation will be held from 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., at the Roanoke Higher Education Center, Room 212. Guest speakers will be Dr. E. Wayne Harris, Dr. Linda Weber, and Dr. Wayne Tripp, superintendents of Roanoke City, Roanoke County, and Salem school districts, respectively. The conference is recommended for individuals who wish to pursue careers in school leadership or who are present administrators and wish to refresh their skills. Education graduate students, classroom teachers, undergraduates, and school administrators are welcome, as is the general public. Registration will take place from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. on Saturday morning. The presentations by guest speakers will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. There is no fee to attend.
