Ferrum College will kick off its 2003-04 academic year with a special evening of music featuring Rescue Mission, the College’s Praise and Worship Team. The event is slated for Monday evening, September 1, from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. on the lawn adjacent to Franklin Hall and Swartz Gymnasium. The performance is free and open to the public. The annual celebration provides an opportunity for area churches to welcome students from across the nation to the Franklin County community. Area churches are invited to participate in the outreach event and to share information about their congregations. Individual churches may set up tables to share information about church offerings, directions to the church, and refreshments for students. To participate, churches should contact the Chaplain's Office at 540-365-4286. Classes will begin earlier that day. Ferrum College is a four-year, private, co-educational, liberal arts college affiliated with the United Methodist Church. Ferrum offers a choice of nationally recognized bachelor’s degree programs at a cost well below the national average for private colleges.
