Each year the Ferrum College Photography Club sponsors a Folk Life Festival Photography Contest for outstanding pictures taken at the Blue Ridge Folk Life Festival. This year’s Festival will be held October 25, 2003, and photographers are invited to capture images and enter their best photos in the contest. Entries will be displayed for judging and public viewing in E. Taylor Greer Gallery, Stanley Library from December 8-12.

All entries must be taken at the 2003 Festival, the 30th anniversary of the event. Entries must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. They must also be 5 x 7” or 8 X 10”, matted and frames, and suitable for hanging. There is no fee to enter the contest.

Depending upon the number of entries, the following categories will be judged: Faculty, Staff, Students, Community Members, Adult, Minors, and Professionals. Ribbons will be awarded for the first three places in each category. The Roanoke Camera Club will judge the contest.

Ferrum College reserves the right to use submissions for publicity purposes. Photographers may pick up their entries on December 13.
