FERRUM PRESENTS SEMINAR ON TEACHING & DIVERSITY DEC. 13

      Ferrum College will host a seminar on Teaching and Celebrating Diversity in Roanoke Saturday, December 13. The seminar will be held at the Roanoke Higher Education Center on from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon.   A free continental breakfast will be provided, and verification for teacher re-certification points will be available upon request.   Interested persons are asked to reserve by December 10, 2003, by calling (540) 365-4514 or by email to cbpeters@ferrum.edu .

      Topics include: Teaching the Holocaust:   Past, Present and Future ; Campus & Community: Internationalizing & Diversifying Education ; Adapting Historical Material into Theatrical Presentations ; Diversity in Today's Classroom ; and more.   Among those scheduled to present are: Dr. Wayne Tripp, Florella Johnson, Amanda Ilardi, Pearl Fu, Dr. Rex Stephenson, Sasha Saari, Betty Buckingham, Dr. Marcia Horn, Dr. David Howell, and Susan Mead.
