| Ferrum College SIFE Students Bring Home First Place Finish |

Ferrum College students were honored with a first place finish in a special national competition at the 2002 USA National Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) Competition, held May 13, in Kansas City, MO. The competition, the AT&T Best Use of the Internet to Teach Business Owners E-Commerce, earned the Ferrum program $3,000 for organization use.
Students participating were: Jay Greeley, a senior finance, decision
support systems, and management major from Leesburg; Kim Gordon, a senior
business administration major from Rocky Mount; Angela Hodgson, a senior
financial management and decisions support systems major from Waterville,
VT; Nick Elliott, a senior administration major from Salem; The Ferrum College SIFE teams faculty advisor, Dr. Demetri Tsanacas, was also inducted into the Sam Walton Fellow Hall of Fame during the national competition.
