The Ferrum College major in Russian provides students fluency
in oral and written communication, the ability to read, understand
and analyze Russian literature and an understanding of Russian culture.
The program is enhanced by an ongoing program which brings students
form Pskov, Russia to study at Ferrum and provides intership opportunities
for Ferrum students in Pskov.
Ferrum College students of Russian have pursued graduate degrees
in Russian language, literature, or area studies at such institutions
as New York University, the University of Virginia, Indiana University,
the University of Illinois at Urbana and Penn State University.
Some students have pursued careers in the military, the travel industry
and business.
