- The Recreation and Leisure Program is accredited by the National Recreation
and Park Association and the American Alliance for Leisure and Recreation.
The major provides a stimulating academic curriculum and involves a variety
of practical experiences. Students are prepared to provide the leadership
needed to help people use their leisure constructively through recreation
experiences. A career in this multi-billion dollar industry provides varied
opportunities with public, private, commercial and voluntary organizations.
A minor course of study that compliments the student's interest is required.
