The program in sports medicine is designed to serve as the pre-professional
course of study for athletic training, sports medicine, physical
therapy, cardiac rehabilitation, or physiology of exercise. All
students enrolled in this option are required to complete an internship
of at least 400 hours in their area of interest and specialization.
Several of the careers mentioned in the sports medicine option do
require additional study or degree beyond the bachelor's degree.
Ferrum's Physical Education Department is well prepared to advise
