A new play by William Gregg and Perry Deane Young, produced by the Southern Appalachian Repertory Theatre at Mars Hill College, Mars Hill, N.C. Performed August 1-12, 2001. Gregg is the seven-times great-grandson of William Gregg, a member of the grand jury that indicted Frankie Silver. Young is the three-times grand nephew of George Young, who reportedly sold whiskey to Charlie Silver, an act that may have fueled the murder. The link goes to Perry Deane Young's official web site. |
