Ms. Leavitt is Adjunct Professor of Landscape Design. She has served Ferrum College since 2001.
Teaching Areas are landscape architecture & design. Research interests include experiential education, greenways, participatory design, and alternative drainageway design. Professional work includes design/project management for recreational parks, greenways, open-space planning, and residential, commercial and institutional projects throughout Virginia. Personal interests include sailing, running, hiking, and design. She is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects & Sigma Lambda Alpha and received the ASLA Graduate School Honor Award.
