Dr. Johnson is Professor of Chemistry and Environmental Science and the Chair of the Life Sciences Division. He has served Ferrum College since 1979.
His teaching areas include general, analytical, and environmental chemistry as well as environmental issues, environmental policy and planning, and an introduction to occupational safety and health. He works in analytical method development, water quality monitoring, watershet management and nonpoint source pollution reduction, and issues related to sustainable development.
