Lifelong Learning Institute

The Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI) at Ferrum College offers non-credit, cultural, intellectual, and social experiences to the Franklin County community and surrounding areas. Participants are able to take classes taught by experienced, retired, active, and/or certified instructors who take delight in enriching the lives of children and adults.

It is our mission to show people that learning is a life long venture. No matter what age,  there is something to learn every day. We want to encourage individuals to learn something new, try something interesting, and create new exciting experiences for yourself and others.

The Ferrum College Lifelong Learning Institute proudly presents STOP STRESS NOW!

In this incredible 5-week course you will learn how to lower your stress and find more balance in your life. For just $25 you will be assisted by Ferrum College’s own (Dean of Campus Diversity, Wellness and Student Leadership), Lynise Anderson in creating an action plan to better manage stress by learning strategies and techniques to help you identify stress and build resilience. In this 5-week course, you will:

  • Learn What Stress Is, Where It’s Coming From
  • Learn How Stress Affects Your Health
  • Determine How Vulnerable You Are To Stress
  • Find Out If You Are Burned Out
  • Learn How Food Can Help Or Hurt Your Ability To Be More Resilient To Stress
  • Learn Strategies, Techniques, Tips And Tools To Help You Manage Stress And Build Resilience
