"Environmental Science, "The Mother of All Majors." The ES program provides a background that enables students to deal with important environmental issues of the contemporary world. Rather than a traditional biological approach to the environment, this program emphasizes the interdisciplinary nature of the field by drawing from biology, chemistry, statistics, earth science, economics, law, and the humanities. It's a prime example of Ferrum's commitment to education both in and out of the classroom. Environmental majors are offer great flexibility in developing a program of study that speaks most directly to their individual interests."
