Intramural Guidelines

The office of Student Leadership and Engagement has taken over the helm of Intramurals at Ferrum College. Our continual goal is to increase the participation of intramurals, specifically among women on campus, and turn an intramural program into a way of life for students.

We made the transition of Intramurals into our office about Pride. We want students to have pride in their team and also their residence halls. This is where the idea of composing teams from the residence hall areas evolved. Each residence area competes for bragging rights of the Intramural Cup that is displayed in the Franklin Hall awards area, and $1000 for the Residence Hall Area to use in any way they deem reasonable.

The Intramural Cup is based on a points system on selected Intramural sports/activities. Each area has a chance to earn multiple points based on sportsmanship, cooperativeness, and competition in the Intramurals Program.

You can see a broad breakup of the TEAM MAKE UP, EVENTS, and POINTS SYSTEM.
