arthur societyArthur Society - A Society of Visionary Leaders

The Reverend Dr. C. Ralph Arthur served as Ferrum College’s 7th president, from 1954 to 1970. A prolific fundraiser, Dr. Arthur understood that Ferrum’s ultimate success was dependent upon support received from alumni and friends of the institution. Through his extraordinary leadership and vision, Dr. Arthur left an indelible imprint on Ferrum College. His legacy continues today and is seen across campus in Ferrum’s beautiful facilities, educational excellence, athletic accomplishments, and financial strength.

To honor Dr. Arthur and encourage greater support for the College, Ferrum created an exclusive giving club known as The Arthur Society in July 2003. Alumni and friends may become members of The Arthur Society with annual gifts of at least $1,000 to the Ferrum Fund, which supports daily operations of the College including financial aid to students.
