Ferrum College Video Contest
Attention Ferrum College Students! We’re offering you a chance to show off your Panther Pride. Here’s a chance to express your creativity and passion. How? Through Ferrum College’s video contest! If you are a full-time Ferrum College student, tell us your story and your love of everything Ferrum!What you need to do
Think of an idea to visually demonstrate your thoughts to one of the following questions/concepts- » What brought you to Ferrum College?
- » What is it about Ferrum College that you love and want to tell others about
- » Share your favorite place, class, or event – or anything else that will show a student’s view of Ferrum College
- » Show us the people and/or professors who have influenced your life at Ferrum College
Why submit a video? Well, because you could win a lot of money!!! A group of judges will review each video, and select a first, second, and third place prize.
First Place - $1,000.00
Second Place - $350.00
Third Place - $150.00

Who Can Participate?
To be eligible for the contest, you must be currently enrolled as a full-time Ferrum College studentWhen is the Deadline?
Shoot it and submit it to nfaunce@ferrum.edu by no later than Friday, November 21, 2008. Entries must be submitted with a completed entry form and in one of the following file formats: .mpg; .mp4; .mov; .flv; .avi; .avi; .wmv.Videos should be no longer than 5 minutes in length and fit into one of the following categories:
- » What brought you to Ferrum College? – Tell us your story, what brought you here, what you like about Ferrum College, and how it has changed your life.
- » What is it about Ferrum College that you want to tell others about? – Tell us what makes Ferrum College different and how you have made Ferrum College your "home away from home."
- » Share your favorite place, class, or event. – Show us the "fun" in your world; everything from friends, activities, and the family atmosphere you have experienced at Ferrum College
- » Show us the people and/or professors who have influenced you. - Show us about opportunities you have been given in your major. Tell us about your career plans and aspirations after college and how you are reaching those goals
Important Note
We do not want any of your videos to end up in a lawsuit, so make sure the music you use is not copyrighted music. Check out royaltyfreemusic.com or other royalty-free web sites for options.Entries my be submitted by groups of up to 5 students and will be judged on the following criteria:
