Ferrum Hosted “Take Back the Night” Rally
October 12th
Ferrum College hosted a Take Back the Night rally on Thursday,
October 12th at 7:00 p.m. starting in the center of campus
at the flagpole. The special evening will include brief
remarks and special displays of support, followed by the
walk around campus. The event is open to the public and
community involvement is encouraged.

Ferrum College Announces Environmental Symposium November
8-10th
With the theme, “Environmental Partnerships for
a Sustainable Future,” Ferrum College will celebrate
30 years of the second-oldest Environmental Science program
in the nation by hosting an Environmental Symposium November
8th-10th in Ferrum, VA and at the Roanoke Higher Education
Center in Roanoke, VA. Featured speakers include wildlife
preservationist and NASCAR driver Ward Burton; Ted Strong,
Chair, Tribal and Cultural Heritage Relations Committee,
Heritage University; Dr. Edward Browell, NASA atmospheric
researcher (LIDAR) and the Honorable Paul S. Rosenblatt,
