The Board of Trustees of Ferrum College has at least six specific responsibilities. They are responsible for: The overall strategic planning and policy decisions that inform the mission of the College as it moves forward; Generating the resources necessary for the College to live out its mission effectively, both now and in the future; Supporting the executive leadership through careful evaluation and active participation in the life of the College; Keeping the faculty and administration accountable; Knowing the College well and becoming engaged, in appropriate ways, with matters on and off campus; Serving as advocates to the College’s many and different constituencies, speaking up on behalf of Ferrum College in particular, and the work of higher education in general. |
