Illegal Questions

During the course of your interview, you may be asked a question that is considered illegal by federal, state, or local laws.  Most of the time, the employer will ask out of genuine curiosity or interest rather than to use your answer to discriminate against you; however, the fact remains that these types of questions are not relevant to whether or not you can perform the functions of the job at hand.  Below are some examples of illegal questions and their legal counterparts.
