STEP #4: FOLLOW-UP

KEEP IN TOUCH

Keep in touch after the interview. Few people take the time to follow through with their job search.  Attention to detail can make the difference in a job search.
* Send a brief, typed thank you letter.
* Include additional information about yourself that you may have omitted during the interview.
* Personalize each thank you letter and comment on issues discussed during the interview.
* If you interview with more than one person, send a separate thank you letter to each person.
* Report results of suggestions given to you.

KEEP RECORDS

Develop an accurate file system to keep track of schedules and confirmed appointments, contacts and responses for easy reference during your campaign and for use in future campaigns. Utilize folders, index cards, charts or develop your own system.
