Lanier and Theckla Frantz
Lanier and Theckla Frantz, of New Castle, VA, in center, donated a Model T Ford for Ferrum College's Centennial exhibit. The Model T is similar to the one driven by Dr. Benjamin Beckham, who was the first president of Ferrum Training School, serving from 1913 to 1934. With them at the Frantz' Craig County farm are, from left, Vaughan Webb, assistant director of the Blue Ridge Institute & Museum (BRI) at the College; Roddy Moore, director of the BRI; Kim Blair, vice president for institutional advancement; and College President Jennifer Braaten.
