Campus Subway receives gold medal in restaurant’s Customer Service Olympics.

Ferrum, Va. (July 27, 2011) –  The Subway restaurant located in Franklin Hall on the Campus of Ferrum College has received a Gold rating from it’s customers.  The results were announced by the Subway corporation based upon surveys taken by customers at Subway restaurants.  There were 431 Gold medals awarded which amounts to just over one percent of all Subway restaurants worldwide.

Ferrum College Director of Food Services Mike Martin congratulated food services employees, reminding them that the score of 93 out of a possible 100 put them in elite company.  “It does not go unnoticed,” said Martin, who credited Manager Jenaise Wade and her management team for the high score.

Subway compiled the rankings for the month of June 2011.  Customers were asked to take an on-line survey where they answered a series of questions related to the quality of their Subway experience.

The Ferrum College Subway is located in the basement of Franklin Hall adjacent to the College’s other franchise restaurant, Papa John’s.  A full-service Starbucks is scheduled to open in the campus bookstore in August.
