Homecoming/Family Weekend Registration 

9:00am – Noon  |  Franklin Hall Atrium

Alumni! Families! Visitors! Look for the Alumni Office tent adjacent to the panther at Franklin Hall to check in for the weekend. Pick up your day program, find information about the weekend, and get a campus map showcasing the beauty of the Ferrum College campus.

Golden Panthers Annual Fall Celebration & Induction of the 50th Reunion Class of 1965

8:30 – 10:00 am  |  Panther’s Den, Franklin Hall

Registration at 8:30 am. Pick up packets and Homecoming Day Schedule. Breakfast at 9:00 am followed by the Class of ’65 Induction Ceremony.

If you attended Ferrum College 50+ years ago you are a Golden Panther (GP) and always invited to attend GP events! Welcome the Class of 1965 to the group, learn about upcoming Golden Panther excursions, and get the latest news from Golden Panther Chair Jim Clark ’62.  Meet a Golden Panther Endowed Scholarship recipient and hear more about what this generous fund can accomplish from George Seals, Director of Planned and Principal Gifts.

Reserved Parking with shuttle service will be located in the Parking lot located on Ferrum Mountain Road just behind Grousbeck and the bookstore.

Current students and their families are invited to stop by the Saari Faculty House to meet the Deans and faculty representatives from each of the schools – Arts & Humanities, Natural Sciences & Mathematics, and Social Sciences & Professional Studies. Enjoy a cup of coffee and a doughnut while you get to know your student’s professors.

Visit to the Blue Ridge Institute & Farm Museum

10:00 am – 4:00 pm  |  Blue Ridge Institute

Visit the Blue Ridge Institute & Farm Museum and check out the newest exhibition, Virginia’s Forgotten Canneries. The BRI is the State Center for Blue Ridge Folklore and features a living history nineteenth century farm complete with period animals and gardens.

1965 National Football Championship Team 50th Reunion

Yes, it’s been 50 years since the team beat top-ranked McCook for the National Junior College Athletic Association championship! Hard to believe? So come back to campus, swap stories with Coach Norton and your former teammates, grab a pregame bite to eat, and toast to Ferrum football - past and present.
