Panther Tracks – 5K Run/Walk

Hart Plaza | 8:00 am Registration & 9:00 am Race

All students, families and alumni are welcome to join in this annual on-campus fundraiser. Race starts on Wiley Drive from the parking lot at Hart Plaza. Healthy snacks provided. Post-race prizes will be awarded at the finish. All proceeds benefit the Saint James United Methodist Church Food Bank and Cystic Fibrosis. Pre-register by September 18 for $15 per participant. Race-day registration is $20. Ferrum College students admitted with three cans of food.

George Byrd Memorial Garden Dedication

Open to current students as well as alumni. Members of the Ag Club including Jay Prillaman, advisor to the Agricultural Club and director of campus grounds, along with faculty members from the School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics Environmental Science program, Bob Pohlad, Carolyn Thomas, Glen Stevens ‘97 and Delia Heck will host a special breakfast and dedication of the Titmus Agricultural Center “Green” house. The Ferrum College Outdoor Adventure staff is hosting a morning float around Chapman Pond. Enjoy the fall scenery from this unique viewpoint! All families and individuals are welcome! Make sure you dress for the weather; bring sunscreen, a hat and proper shoes. Healthy snacks provided. Meet at the maintenance parking lot adjacent to the Blue Ridge Institute & Museum and caravan to the pond. Pre-registration required by September 18th. Here’s your chance to spend time with your  former classmates and professors at a special gathering prior to the Homecoming game. We’ll provide your group with a tent, table and chairs and you don’t need to bring your own food - picnic fare will be available! There will be a special children’s area hosted by the Recreation, Health and Human Performance, and Social Work departments, as well as plenty of music and entertainment for all  — and, of course, Birthday Cake! Adults $8.00; Children 6–12 $4.00; Children 5 and under FREE. Please contact the Alumni Office for the REQUIRED parking permit  and to make sure that your reunion or organization has a tent!

Flag Raising Ceremony

The four National Championship football teams hold a very special place in Ferrum College athletic history. At this inaugural presentation of the flags, all Panthers and their families are invited to gather as we unveil a tribute to each team’s players and coaches. Coach Hank Norton, Coach Dave Harper and representatives from each team will announce the occasion from the field and all members of each team will be recognized during this special ceremony.


Homecoming Football Game

Cheer on the Panthers as they take on the Greensboro College Pride in this year’s Homecoming match up. The Centennial Celebration continues with a very special national anthem sung by the all-alumni choir accompanied by a color guard, the Homecoming court and fans of all ages! The Homecoming half-time presentations include recognition of our Alumni Award winners and our 2013 Homecoming Court. Wear your Black & Gold and show your Panther spirit!


SIFE (Enactus) 25th Reunion Celebration
