April Panther Preview

You're invited to join us at a Panther Preview program! Panther Preview is Ferrum College's Open House program. Participants will have the opportunity to talk with Ferrum faculty, staff, and students about student activities, academics, and athletics as well as admissions and financial aid personnel.

Saturday, April 11, 2015  |  9:00am – 3:00pm   

If you arrive early between 9-9:45 a.m., you may meet with an admissions counselor to receive an Onsite Admissions Decision!  Just bring the following items with you:

  • Your completed application for admission to Ferrum College (if you haven't already submitted it)
  • Your official transcripts
  • Your official standardized test scores (SAT or ACT)

 

Additional Panther Preview Dates:
The $25 application fee will be waived for seniors and transfers submitting a completed application while on campus for open house.

All high school or transfer students seeking full-time admission to Ferrum College for Fall 2015 and who make an official visit to campus between the dates of June 1, 2014 and May 1, 2015 are eligible to receive a $1000 campus visit grant.
 
In addition to visiting campus, an eligible student must gain acceptance and enroll at Ferrum College. The grant is renewable for four years of enrollment at Ferrum College.

What You'll do at a Panther Preview

Activities Fair
Families will have the opportunity to talk with students and staff about Student Activities and Leadership, Career Services, Academic Resources, First Year Experience, Christian Ministries, Community Outreach, Athletics, and our Boone Honors program. Due to team travel schedules all sports may not be represented at Panther Previews. To confirm that a particular coach will be available, please contact that coach directly.

Student and Parent Information Panels
Ferrum's faculty, staff and current students will be available to share information and respond to questions about what it is really like to be a part of the Ferrum College learning community.

Academics Fair and Financial Aid Presentations
Families have the opportunity to meet faculty and explore one or more of Ferrum's 33 diverse academic majors. A financial aid information session will also be available.

Complimentary Lunch
Experience a meal prepared by Ferrum College's very own "Chef Bo" in the dining hall.

Tours of Campus
Current student ambassadors will lead small groups on tours of Ferrum's beautiful campus including residence halls.
