College All-State Baseball Team
FERRUM, Va. — Virginia Wesleyan College catcher
Matt Hudgins and Bridgewater College catcher Andrew Chrismer
were named Player and Rookie of the Year, respectively, on the
2007 VaSID College Division All-State Baseball Team.
Ferrum College's Abe Naff has been named Coach of the Year.

College Division All-State Baseball Team
Hudgins hit .447 with 18 doubles, four triples, six home runs,
and 47 RBI this season. He is currently with the Chicago
Cubs in the Arizona Rookie League.
Chrismer batted .339 with five home runs and 37 RBI, and was
the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Rookie of the year.
he helped the Eagles win the ODAC Tournament and advance to
the NCAA regionals.
Naff led Ferrum to its 10th USA South Athletic Conference
title. Naff's Panthers shared the regular season title,
then won the USA South Tournament and hosted the NCAA
regional. Ferrum advanced to the championship game
before being eliminated in 12 innings by eventual national
runner-up Emory University. This is Naff's fifth VaSID
Coach of the Year honor (1992, 1996, 2000, 2003, 2007).
The retiring skipper closed out his 23-year career with a
643-236-3 coaching record.
