Applegate capped an impressive year by winning the NCAA Division III singles title.  She closed the year with a 33-3 mark at #1 singles and was 26-7 at #1 doubles for an impressive 59-10 overall record.  She was the Old Dominion Athletic Conference's Player of the Year and earned All-America honors in both singles and doubles this season.

Tabb was 25-8 at #2 singles this season and was 28-7 at #2 doubles for a 53-15 overall mark.  She earned All-America in both singles and doubles, and was the ITA's Atlantic South Rookie of the Year.

Rankin led the Generals to a #1 national ranking and a 28-1 final record.  W&L lost its only match of the season in the NCAA championship match.  Rankin's team was NCAA runner-up for the third time in the past four seasons.  W&L won an unprecedented 16th ODAC title this season.

All-State teams are selected by active members of the Virginia Sports Information Directors Association.  Although VaSID has been awarding All-State teams since the 1982-83 school year, this is the inaugural women's tennis All-State team.
