Zimmeck (Fairfax, Va.), also the 2006 CAA Player of the Year and a Soccer Buzz All-America Fourth Team selection, led the conference in goals (14) and game-winners (six), while ranking second in points (32).  Additionally, the Fairfax, Va., native was recently selected to the All-Mid-Atlantic Region First Team by Soccer Buzz and the NSCAA.

Zimmeck played especially well toward the end of the regular season, totaling 10 goals in the final six matches. She finished the year ranked 15th in the nation in goals per match (0.74) and 18th in points per match (1.68).  She also garnered numerous national accolades earlier the season after scoring seven goals during a three-match span in mid-October, including being selected as the national player of the week by Soccer Times, Soccer America and Top Drawer Soccer.  Zimmeck was also tabbed to the Soccer Buzz Elite Team of the Week and was twice named CAA Player of the Week.

Daly, also the NSCAA Mid-Atlantic Region Coach of the Year and Co-CAA Coach of the Year, led his team to a 16-1-4 season and CAA regular season championship with a 10-0-1 mark.  Daly guided the Tribe to an NCAA Tournament berth for the 14th time in the last 15 years, closing out the year on a school-record 17-match unbeaten streak.

Julien (Williamstown, Ontario), a CAA All-Rookie Team selection, earns the honor after leading her team as a freshman with nine goals, including four game-winners, in addition to chipping in five assists for a total of 13 points.  She was named the CAA Rookie of the Week and selected to the CAA All-Tournament Team.

The 2006 VaSID University Women’s Soccer team was nominated by and voted upon by sports information directors at colleges and universities throughout the Commonwealth.
