Walters, Garrett Earn All-Tournament at DC Classic

FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College freshman women's soccer players Kelsey Walters (Christiansburg, Va./Glenvar) and LaQuinta Garrett (Herndon, Va./Westfield) have been named to the All-Tournament Team at the DC Classic.  The four-team tournament was held Sept. 8-9 at Catholic University in Washington, D.C.

On the opening day of the tournament, Ferrum fell 6-0 to host Catholic Sept. 8.  The Panthers then dropped a 1-0 decision to Marymount University Sept. 9.  Roanoke College was the fourth team participating in the tournament.

Ferrum returns to action Wednesday, Sept. 12, at home against Emory & Henry College.  The non-conference match begins at 4 p.m. at Panther Field.
