Garrett Earns All-State in Women's Soccer

FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College freshman defender LaQuinta Garrett (Herndon, Va./Westfield) has been named second team All-State in women's soccer by the Virginia Sports Information Directors.

Garrett had two goals and two assists for six points this season, and scored the game-winning goal in a 6-0 win over Averett University Oct. 24 on the road.

Garrett was a first team All-Conference selection in the USA South Athletic Conference this season.  She also earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team at the D.C. Classic, played September 8-9 at Catholic University.
