Panther Men Defeat Randolph 60-51
FERRUM, Va. -- Sophomore Jerrell Wade scored 14 of his game-high 16
points in the second half, helping Ferrum College to a 60-51
non-conference men's basketball win over Randolph College this
afternoon at home.

Wade went 1-5 from the floor in the first half. In the second
half, he went 6-8 for 14 points, including 1-2 from behind the arc
and 1-6 from the line.
Ferrum led 22-21 at halftime but opened the second half with a 14-2
run, taking its biggest lead of the game on a layup by Wade to go up
36-23 with 16:41 left to play. Randolph answered with a 22-13
run to take a 45-43 lead with 7:40 left. Ferrum responded with
a 16-4 run to take a 59-49 lead with just under a minute left to
play.
Sophomore Keith Crump had 12 points for the Panthers, while senior Jon Godsey
had 10 rebounds to go with eight points.
Randolph (1-1) was led by Jimmy Greene's 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Brandon Harris also had 10 points for the Wildcats. Randolph
out-rebounded Ferrum 39-37.
Ferrum (2-0) returns to action Tuesday, Nov. 20, when they
visit Piedmont College in Demorest, Georgia. The
non-conference game tips off at 5 p.m.
