Davenport Earns All-Tournament

FERRUM, Va. -- Senior Ali Davenport (Baton Rouge, La./Runnels) has been named to the All-Tournament Team at the 2007 Guilford College Tip-Off Tournament held Nov. 16-17 in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Nov. 16 Box Score:  York (Pa.) 82, Ferrum 62
Nov. 17 Box Score:  Guilford 67, Ferrum 64

In an 82-62 loss to York (Pa.) College Nov. 16, Davenport had 15 points and 12 rebounds.  The next day she had 12 points, nine rebounds and four assists in a 67-74 lass to Guilford.

Davenport was an All-Conference first team selection last year in the USA South Athletic Conference.  She averaged 12.5 points and 7.4 rebounds, helping Ferrum win the 2007 USA South regular season title.

Ferrum (0-2)  returns to action Tuesday, Nov. 20, when they visit non-conference opponent Roanoke College in Salem.  Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.
