Thomas Named to '07 Rawlings/ABCA All-America Baseball Team

FERRUM, Va. - Ferrum College senior third baseman Brett Thomas has been named to the 2007 Rawlings/American Baseball Coaches Association All-America Team second team.

Thomas was named an All-American on the inaugural d3Baseball.com team in May of 2007 as an honorable mention.  He is from Danville, Virginia, where he attended George Washington High School.  Thomas batted .387 this season, starting all 45 of Ferrum's games.  In 186 at-bats, he produced 72 hits, 51 runs, 10 doubles, three triples, 15 home runs and 65 RBI.  He closed out the season with a .715 slugging percentage, .470 on-base percentage, 27 of 30 stolen base attempts, and a .871 fielding percentage.

On May 23, Thomas was name a first team All-Region, making him eligible for All-America honors.  Thomas was also a first team All-Region selection with ABCA/Rawlings in 2005.
