Thomas Named to D3baseball.com '07
All-America Team
FERRUM, Va. - Ferrum College senior third baseman
Brett Thomas
has been named to the 2007 D3baseball.com All-America Team as an
honorable mention. This is the inaugural All-America baseball team
for the online publication.
Thomas batted .387 this season, starting all 45 of Ferrum's games.
In 186 at-bats, he produced 72 hits, 51 runs, 10 doubles, three
triples, 15 home runs and 65 RBI. Thomas closed out the season with
a .715 slugging percentage and a .470 on-base percentage. Thomas
was successful on 27 of 30 stolen base attempts and had a .871
fielding percentage.
On May 23, Thomas was name a first team All-Region selection by the
ABCA/Rawlings and is in contention for All-America honors with that
organization as well. Thomas was also a first team All-Region
selection with ABCA/Rawlings in 2005.

Thomas hails from Danville, Virginia, where he prepped at George
Washington High School. He played four year at Ferrum under
23rd-year Head Coach Abe Naff, who retired from coaching at the end
of the 2007 season.
Ferrum (28-17) closed out the season last weekend at the 2007 NCAA
Division III Baseball Regional, held May 16-20 at Ferrum. For more
