Ferrum Cheerleaders Place First at American Open

FERRUM, Va. - The Ferrum College cheerleading squad traveled to Orlando during Spring Break '07 to compete in the American Open.  The American Open is run by Spirit Team, based in Gainesville, Florida.  The Panthers placed first in the All-Girl Division.  All first-place teams in any division are designated national champions by Spirit Team.  Ferrum placed first among three teams, ahead of second place Auburn Montgomery College and third-place Medaille University.
