Women's Lacrosse Falls in
Overtime
FERRUM, Va. -- The
Ferrum College women's lacrosse team dropped a tight 11-10 match at
Averett University this afternoon, falling in double-overtime to the
Cougars.

Junior
Stephanie Perih (Centreville,
Va./Paul VI) had four goals for Ferrum in the loss. In the
process, Perih broke the school record for points in a season.
The previous record holder was Carrie Conques, who had 44 points in
2003 on 44 goals. Perih has 42 goals and five assists this
season, for 47 points. Perih needs three more goals to break
Conques' record of 44 season goals.
Senior
Carlyn Kubler (Union Hall, Va./Franklin County),
junior
Corinne Musanti (Staten Island,
N.Y./St. John's Villa), and sophomore
Sarah Kaye
(Annandale, Va./Paul VI) had two goals each this afternoon.
Freshman GK Crystal
Heglar (Aldie, Va./Loudoun County) played the entire match in
net for the Panthers, making 14 saves.
Averett (2-7, 1-4 USA South) was led by Darcie Jones and Vanessa
Jordan, who had four goals each. GK Danielle Shields played
the whole match for the Cougars, making 10 saves.
Ferrum (4-7, 1-5 USA South) returns to action April 5 at Hood College.
The Panthers will then face
Georgian Court University April 6 at Hood. Both matches will
be played at Hood in Frederick, Maryland.
The 2007 USA South Tournament is set for April 13-14 in Burlington,
