FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College junior
midfielder
Stephanie Perih (Centreville, Va./Paul VI) has been named USA
South Athletic Conference Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week for
her part in Ferrum's three matches last week.
Perih was Ferrum's leading scorer in all three games, a 15-11 loss
to Sweet Briar College at home March 20, a 19-3 road win over
Trinity University (DC) March 23 and a 13-11 road win over
Shenandoah University March 24.
Perih had five goals each against Sweet Briar and Trinity. She
followed that up with six goals, including the game-winner, and an
assist against Shenandoah.
Overall, Perih registered 16 goals and an assist for 17 points. She
currently leads the team in scoring with 36 goals and four assists
for 40 points. Perih is now just eight goals from tying the single
season school record of 44, and four points from tying the single

standout Carrie Conques.
Also nominated for Player of the Week honors was Kristen Conques of
Christopher Newport University and Andrea DiStefano of Methodist
University. Kristin Conques is the younger sister of former Ferrum
standout Carrie Conques.
Ferrum (4-5, 1-4 USA South) returns to action March 27 with a
non-conference match at Bridgewater College. The Panthers travel to
Averett University March 29 for their last USA South match of the
regular season. Ferrum will then play at Hood College April 5, and
against Georgian Court University April 6 at Hood.
The 2007 USA South Tournament is set for April 13-14 in Burlington,
North Carolina. For more information, contact the Ferrum sports
