Panthers Fall 13-4 to Methodist in Women's Lacrosse

FERRUM, Va. - Lauren McGonagle had six goals and two assists as Methodist University handed Ferrum College a 13-4 loss in USA South athletic Conference women's lacrosse action this afternoon in Ferrum.

Ferrum lead early on a goal by senior Carlyn Kubler (Union Hall, Va./Franklin County).  Methodist responded with four unanswered goals to take a 4-1 lead.  Junior Stephanie Perih (Centreville, Va./Paul VI) scored two of her three goals before the end of the first half, but the Monarchs led 8-3 at halftime.

Perih was able to put one last shot in the net midway through the second half but Methodist ((2-4, 2-1 USA South) went on for the 13-4 win.  Ferrum (0-3, 0-3 USA South) plays next on Tuesday, March 13 when it hosts Hollins University in a non-conference match at 4 p.m.
