Kolina Named to '06 All-State Soccer Team

FERRUM, Va.  --  Ferrum College junior midfielder Cara Kolina (Staten Island, N.Y./St. Joseph by the Sea) has been named to the 2006 College Division All-State Women's Soccer Team by the Virginia Sports Information Directors.

Kolina made the second team this year, her third straight All-State honor.  She was also a second team selection in 2004 and 2005.  Kolina has now earned All-Conference and All-State in each of her three seasons with the Panther women's soccer program. 

Kolina led Ferrum in scorer this year with 12 points on five goals (including three game-winners) and a pair of assists.  The Panthers finished 6-12 this season.

In her three-year career, Kolina has 20 goals and 12 assists for 52 career points.  She has scored eight game-winning goals.  For more information, please contact the Ferrum sports information office at (540) 365-4306.
