Women Run Away from Emory & Henry with 93-59 Win

FERRUM, Va.  --  Coach Bryan Harvey's Ferrum College women's basketball team flirted with the 100-point mark in tonight's 93-59 non-conference win over Emory & Henry College.

Senior guard Aline Alzime (Leesburg, Va./Stonebridge) led the Panthers with 29 points, 21 of which she netted before halftime.  Alzime added six rebounds and five steals in the victory.  Junior center Ali Davenport (Baton Rouge, La./Runnels) had 17 points and seven rebounds.

Senior guard Quanita Bennett (Virginia Beach, Va./Coastal Christian) added 12 points and freshman forward Tonya Wright (Bland, Va./Bland County) added 10 points.

Emory & Henry (2-1) was led in scoring and rebounding by Katherine Brandt, who had 19 points and 12 rebounds in 33 minutes of play.
