Flora, Naff Join Ferrum Volleyball Coaching Staff
Pair to Serve as Assistants Under Head Coach Nancy Castillo Howlett

FERRUM, VA – Nancy Castillo Howlett will have a pair of veterans to work with when she opens her first season as Ferrum College's Head Women's Volleyball Coach.  She will be joined on the bench this season by Mike Naff and Andy Flora, two coaches she has worked with previously at Franklin County High School.

Flora spent nine years coaching volleyball at Franklin County High School, six as Assistant Varsity Coach and three as Head JV Coach.  His JV teams were 42-8 the past three seasons.  Flora is a health and physical education teacher at Benjamin Franklin Middle School in Rocky Mount.  He earned his bachelor's degree from Radford University in 1992 and his master's degree from Radford in 1994.  Flora and his wife Jenny reside in Rocky Mount with their son Jacob.

A special education teacher at Benjamin Franklin Middle School from 2001-04, Naff helped Castillo Howlett at Franklin County from 2001-03.  He served as Head Volleyball Coach at Northumberland High School from 1999-2001, and at Shawsville High School from 1995-97.  He was named Three Rivers District Coach of the Year in 1997, and Northern Neck District Coach of the Year in 2000 and 2001.  Naff earned his bachelor's degree from Radford in 1995.  He and his wife Crystal (a 1991 Ferrum graduate) reside in Callaway with their children Rachael and Lauren.
