Williams Joins Women’s Basketball Staff at Ferrum
Former All-American Makes Coaching Debut

FERRUM, VA – Director of Athletics Abe Naff has announced that Katrina Williams has accepted the position of Assistant Women's Basketball Coach at Ferrum College. 

Williams played three years at Roanoke College under head coach Susan Dunagan, serving as team captain as a senior in 2003.  She was named to the Women's Basketball Coaches Association Division III All-America honorable mention squad in 2003.  Williams was also the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Year in 2003.  She was a three-time All-Conference player in the ODAC, earning first team laurels in 2003 and 2002, and second team honors in 2001.

Williams will make her coaching debut this fall, assisting first-year head coach Bryan Harvey.  She played two years for Harvey at Glenvar High School, helping the Lady Highlanders win a state championship in 1997.  Williams graduated from Roanoke in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in sociology.
